Revelation 1 - 22

Revelation is primarily an unveiling of the glorified Lord Jesus Christ. It is the culmination of his plan for the earth and all of its inhabitants. It is admittedly a difficult book to comprehend, but a main reason for that is because so many read it without a knowledge of the rest of the Scriptures. Many of the mysterious symbols and terms are used in earlier portions of Scripture and should be used as a foundation for understanding their usage in this book.

Events that are recorded in Revelation, as in other books of the Bible, are not always fully revealed in one passage or in sequential order. Detail may be unveiled later about an event that is written or earlier. (i.e. Genesis 1 & 2; big picture then details). So, careful study is advised at all times. It is a style of writing that presents the entire picture over and over again.
