BIBLE STUDY WITH JESUS PART III - WHY DO YOU INTEND TO SHOW YOURSELF TO US AND NOT THE WORLD?

John 14:22-31

Judas (not Iscariot – we want to make sure that we are talking about the right Judas since Judas was such a common name during this time) asked the last question of the Bible Study. He asked “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?” (John 14:22) This will be our Bible Study question for today. Jesus gave us four reasons why He will manifest Himself to us and not the world. 1) Because we have His Father’s love (John 14:23-24). 2) Because we have the Holy Spirit (vss. 25-26). 3) Because we have His peace (vs. 27) 4) Because we have His promises (vss. 28-31).

Jesus shows himself to those who love him. Those who loves and know Jesus loves the Father and the Father loves him. We receive the gift of the Holy Spirit when we first believe! This is why we have joy!

John 14:31 – “But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.”
