Jeremiah 51:1-64 

Prophetic oracles contain metaphors and symbolism that sometimes convey how there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9). Babylon, the infamous site of rebellion after the flood, became a symbol of idolatry and abominations (Revelation 17-18). Jeremiah 51 is the conclusion of the judgement oracle against Babylon. The day of destruction was set for Babylon and God’s people are called to come out. 

The day of destruction is coming sooner than later. Will you escape?
