Jeremiah 31:27-40 

How can God be the Righteous Judge and the Compassionate and Gracious God? How can God forgive sin and not leave the guilty unpunished? (Galatians 3:10; Deuteronomy 27:26) Would the people’s failure to keep the Law hinder the unconditional promises of God?

“But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.” (Hebrews 8:6-7).
