BIBLE STUDY WITH JESUS PART 2 ~ LORD SHOW US THE FATHER, AND IT IS SUFFICIENT FOR US
John 14:8-21
In our first Bible Study with Jesus, we understood that it was because of the difficult news that Jesus gave his disciples in Chapter 13 that he told them in John 14:1 (NKJV) “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.” Jesus is telling us that when we are going through difficult times, do not be troubled, instead believe in the Father and Son. Believing God is a main focus in John 14. The word “believe” is uses 6 times in the chapter. In fact, the purpose of John’s writings can be found John 20:31 and 1 John 5:13.That purpose is that we might believe in the Son of God!
We can see the work of the Godhead throughout the scriptures in our lives. It starts with accepting God the Son (Jesus Christ) as your Lord and Savior so that God the Father can send God the Holy Spirit to dwell in you forever! This is what the Father promises to us, and He won’t fail! For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.(1 John 5:7 NKJV)
