BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS

Jeremiah 23:1-40

The prophets, priests, and kings of the ancient kingdom of Judah were empowered by God to shepherd His people and perform His will. These leaders are judged in Scripture based on their obedience or lack of obedience to the Lord. Covenant faithfulness or keeping the commandments was the primary standard of accountability. Today we will continue to review the devastating effects of failed leadership.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” (Romans 10:9-11)
