IS YOUR WORSHIP WORTHY OR WORTHLESS?

Jeremiah 7:1-34

Can you imagine yourself being in a religious environment where everyone around is making assumptions about what God has promised them, and you know they are wrong? Did you ever think you would live to see the day when a nation that says religion is important, would be blind and deaf to what the Lord wants the people to see, hear, and do for other human beings? How would you respond if the LORD chose you to deliver a message that would upset the entire nation, especially the political and religious leaders?

Preaching these kinds of messages made Jeremiah very unpopular among the people, and rather than repent, many wanted to kill him so they would not hear such convicting messages. (Jeremiah 26:8-15)

Jeremiah was told to keep preaching, even though most people would never listen to him because they were rejecting God’s word.

For the few that would listen (Jeremiah 26:16) they would have the opportunity to move from worthless worship to worship which God alone is worthy.

Did you worship today or just go to church?
