Dr. Ronald J. Morrison and Anita (Bivens) Morrison were married on December 22, 1979. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he graduated from Glenville High School (1968), served in the U.S. Army from 1971-1973, and worked for Lincoln Electric Company from 1974-1995.

Anita is the Director of Urban Family Learning Centers for “Building Hope in the City”. She holds an M.Ed. from John Carroll University where she also worked as an educational consultant. She is permanently certified to teach 1st through 8th grades in Ohio and has a passion for quality teaching and learning for all ages. She has spoken at many women’s gatherings & has team taught with her husband in the United States and abroad.


  • Baptist Minister, Lake Galilee Baptist Church, 1987; Ordained in 1989.

  • Christian and Missionary Alliance, 1994; Ordained in 1999.


  • Founding and Senior Pastor of Hope Alliance Bible Church in Maple Heights, planted in 1995.

  • Has served for 11 years on the Board of Directors of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, a large evangelical denomination with over 2000 churches in the U.S., and over 18,000 churches overseas.

    • Was Vice-Chairman for one year, and Chairman for four years.

  • Co-Founder, President, and Executive Director of Alliance for Family Hope, Inc., a Community Development Corporation that was formed in 2008 and serves the children and families of Southeast Cleveland.

  • Instructor for Moody Bible Institute since 2005.

  • Faculty Member of Transform 216 (T216) a group of pastors committed to training men to plant churches in the urban areas of Greater Cleveland.

  • Has been the featured speaker for C&MA missionary Field Forums in Brazil, Japan, and Taiwan.

  • Has been the featured speaker for week-long spiritual life student conferences at Crown College (Minnesota), Toccoa Falls College (Georgia), and Nyack College (New York).

  • Heavily involved in coaching and mentoring younger men to serve as pastors and expository preachers.
